Continuation of Stage 3 Watering Restrictions
Ten Oaks HOA Stage 3 watering day is once per week on Friday on the following dates for 2012 (posted to date):
The continuation of Stage 3 of the Drought Contingency and Emergency Water Response Plan is effective April 1. Stage 3 restrictions are designed to generate at least a 10% reduction in water use. Stage 3 measures focus on further restrictions of outdoor water consumption.
At Stage 3 from April 1-October 31:
- Customers may use sprinklers or irrigation systems once weekly for landscape/lawn watering
- No outdoor watering between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm
Customers must use both the Stage 3 Outdoor Watering Schedule and Watering Date Table as provided to all Allen residents in a recent mailing to determine their two allowed watering days per month. During December 2011 - March 2012, the City of Allen has warned or cited almost 1,000 citizens for not following drought water restrictions. Stage 3 includes increased enforcement measures with code patrol 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Citations are considered punishable by significant fines for each violation.
